Agriculture Vehicles

Lacus Felt provides various felts that are used within the Automotive industry, These same felts are also used within the agriculture industry for farming vehicles. These felts are typically found within cabin for noise and vibration dampening. The felts manufactured by Lacus felt are produced with a wide ranging of fibre pallet meaning felts can be produced many different materials.

Semi-cured

Fulled-Cured

​Felts bonded by cured resin (mainly sound damping applications) roll, bale or die-cut pieces with optional scrim and/or other adhesive)

Fibre reinforced Thermoplastic

Fibre reinforced thermoplastic (mainly sound damping applications which can come in roll, bale or die-cut format with optional scrim and/or adhesive)

Fibre reinforced Thermoplastic with Epoxy resin

Fibre reinforced thermoplastic with additional epoxy resin binder (mainly sound damping applications which can come in roll, bale or die-cut format with optional scrim and/or adhesive)

Needlepunch Felt

Felt made of textile fibres and thermoplastic needle punched fibres, optional with nonwoven. Raw material for parts shaped in a cold mould after heating.

Carded Felt

Felt made of textile fibres, bonded by thermoplastic binder, optional with nonwoven and / or adhesive. Raw material for parts shaped in a cold mould after heating and die-cut

Felts produced have the option to be adhesive coated and/or die-cut into requested shapes stipulated by the customer. Each die-cut part will require a bespoke tool to be made to allow cutting.

Felts produced within Lacus Felt (Tier 2) are then passed to the next stage in the process to the Tier 1 customer, who will either die-cut or mould into the desired shape and rigidity and supply to the OEM involved.
