Semi-cured type felt is a combination of textile fibres, bonded by cured duro plastic phenolic resin, optional with flame retardant or expansible flame retardant agent to give a firm felt with rigidity and fire retardancy depending on the customer specified composition.

Semi-cured felts are designed to be partially finished within the production stage leaving the moulding process to complete the resin activation and create the rigid shaped part. Due to this semi-finished state, semi-cured felts are soft and require the further cooking of a hot tool or hot oven.

Semi-cured Felts with Fibreglass are typically created using Phenolic resin due to its permanent thermoset properties and are blended the designed percentage of glass fibre cotton fibre and polyester fibre depending on customer requirements.
